Personal Attack Alarm Monitoring
Monitored personal attack alarms, panic alarms, call assist, and lone worker devices offer staff the reassurance that their safety is a top priority, creating a more secure and confident workplace. Activation is discreet, allowing users to press a button without alerting potential attackers, and the devices are under continuous monitoring by trained operators at our dedicated Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
Advantages of Personal Attack Alarm Monitoring Upon activation, the device automatically communicates the user's location to the controller, who can listen in and record ongoing or evolving situations. This proactive approach allows users to activate the device when someone's behaviour raises concerns, not just during an active attack.
More than just personal attack protection
If deemed safe, the controller can establish contact with the user through the device or their mobile phone. Users are then asked if they are at risk and can respond with a simple 'yes' or 'no.' If necessary, the controller can promptly alert the police using a Unique Reference Number (URN) for an immediate response. The controller can provide a description of the situation to the police and continue to update on developments.
In cases where police intervention is unnecessary, colleagues and or security response teams can be contacted. If a user activates the device due to feeling uneasy about a specific situation but doesn't require emergency assistance, they may still benefit from the support of a colleague or manager. Each user's list of 'escalation contacts' is maintained for summoning assistance if needed.
These devices can be activated for reasons other than attacks, such as illness or injury. Lone Worker devices, equipped with movement and impact sensors, automatically activate if the user falls, adding an extra layer of safety.
